But it is better than the previous type of SSD because it is loaded with the latest V-NAND technology than 970 EVO. Its firmware is more optimized than previously.
Controller of both 970 EVO and 970 EVO Plus is the same kind and is Samsung Phonex but this controller can execute the extended and latest firmware code easily which increases the performance of this SSD. The maximum storage capacity in this storage of Samsung is also 2TB.
The interface of this storage is also PCIe and NVMe technology is also applied to this SSD. But the performance of this storage is much faster than 970 EVO. The performance of this storage is up than 970 EVO. The sequential read speed of this storage is 3500 MB/s which is again equal to the previously discussed storage but its sequential write speed is much faster than previous and it is 3300 MB/s and it is a huge difference of this SSD. Rest is the same as M.2 design, having a heat spreader, Dynamic Thermal Guard, S.M.A.R.T, and encryption capability.
Samsung 970 EVO PRO
This SSD of Samsung is similar to its previous versions including 970 EVO and 970 EVO Plus. V-NAND technology, PCIe NAVMe, Samsung Phonex Controller, and all other specifications are same as the both previously discussed SSDs. The difference lies in the Read-Write speed of data. 970 EVO Pro lies between 970 EVO and 970 EVO Plus. Sequential data read speed of this SSD is equal to the previous SSDs which is 3500 MB/s but its sequential data write speed is 2700 MB/s which is better than 970 EVO but less than 970 EVO Plus. All other specifications of this storage are the same as of previously discussed SSDs.
